I’d like to re-do my Thanksgiving by saying what I’m thankful for.
I’m truly thankful that my family has been able to be together in one room and enjoy each other’s company (albeit a day late). We were all able to sit and eat dinner together. Not only that, but we all sat together in the living room and watched a (damn) good movie, Law Abiding Citizen.
As I am typing this, I’m sitting here watching season six of The Office with my brother. I’m sincerely enjoying this time together. :)
On a side note, Netflix is awesome and The Office is seriously the best comedy show I’ve ever watched. PERIOD.
I was looking up rail lines on Wikipedia recently. I wish I had the money to get off at every stop on NJ Transit’s North Jersey Coast Line rail service. I’d love to explore the surrounding areas at certain stops.
Sometimes I think walking down all of New Jersey and traversing through nature’s obstacles would be one of the greatest experiences ever. I don’t believe that idea would be nonsense. (of course, I’d still like plenty of $$$ to get myself the necessary things such as food and clothing and equipment. I’m not no Survivorman, hahaha)
Going back to the trains. I’d love to see the scenery (whether it’s visually pleasant or unattractive) along the train rides.
The entire Northeast Corridor looks amazing. From Washington, D.C. to Boston (I believe). A week ago, I also saw that one of the time tables at Newark Penn Station said an incoming train’s final destination would be New Orleans, LA. WOW. I can only imagine how much money that would cost… and how amazing that would be to be on that train ride.
I’ve been fascinated with rail-based locomotives since I was a toddler. I had an entire mini-electric train thing in my basement. It was huge. One of my neighbors had an entire toy train set that went around the entire interior of his house. I’ve never seen anything so impressive and amazing in someone’s house.
My childhood dream was to be a conductor. Perhaps when I’m much much older, I’ll consider that job again. Hahah :)
