My school is also a bitch. I’ve been checking day after day to see if my transfer credits went through (I knew they would) and were updated properly on my transcript. They weren’t until today. Somehow by coincidence, they appeared RIGHT after I bitched to the registrar.
So I was able to see the Pleiades star cluster, Aldebaran (and the constellation Taurus), Betelgeuse and Rigel and Orion’s belt, along with a whole bunch of constellations and stars. Also was able to see Mars, Jupiter, and [almost] Venus.
I don’t know about you, but that’s fucking amazing. Just with our bare eyes, we can see other worlds and other parts of our galaxy. We’re essentially looking into the past. I know my parents aren’t as excited as I am, but that’s okay.
All of this makes me feel as if we’re not alone in this universe. And I like that feeling.
I mean, seriously. We can see other planets and stars. It’s as if each celestial entity has a story to tell, and that’s purely awesome to me.
I wanted to go out and try to see Saturn but it’s freezing out and I’m tired and I miss my bed. Cuddling with my angry bird toy thing. YUP
